Mastering Time Management for Increased Productivity and Reduced Stress

The Problem
In today’s fast-paced world, many individuals struggle with balancing multiple Responsibilities, leading to stress, missed deadlines, and decreased productivity. Research shows that while most people understand the importance of time management, they often lack the practical tools and strategies to implement it effectively.
The Solution
To address these challenges, I designed the Mastering Time Management for Increased Productivity and Reduced Stress course-a self-paced, interactive eLearning solution that empowers learners to identify time-wasting habits, prioritize tasks, and implement proven time management techniques.
Storyboarding the Course
Before developing the course, I began with a detailed storyboard to outline the flow of content, key learning objectives, and interactive elements. Using a storyboard ensured that the course would follow a logical structure and resonate with learners.
- Visual Planning: The storyboard included layouts for each screen, identifying where visual elements like videos, animations, and interactive activities would appear.
- Scenario Design: I mapped out Angela’s journey to ensure learners could relate to her challenges and decisions. Each scenario encouraged critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Interactive Elements: I planned drag-and-drop exercises, decision-making scenarios, and knowledge checks to maintain engagement.
- Multimedia Integration: I documented where and how Vyond videos and other visual storytelling components would support the course’s objectives.
Development Process
Interactive Prototype
To bring the Mastering Time Management course to life, I used Vyond to create an engaging introductory video and Articulate Rise to develop a cohesive eLearning experience. This prototype was designed to gather feedback on the course’s user interface and overall effectiveness.
In Vyond, I focused on:
- Capturing learners’ attention with relatable characters and dynamic storytelling.
- Showcasing characters’ emotions and actions to make the content engaging and immersive.
- Adding purposeful camera movements and smooth scene transitions to maintain interest and flow within a short timeframe.
- Aligning audio with character actions to ensure a polished, professional presentation.
In Articulate Rise, I embedded the Vyond video as part of the course introduction, using it to set the tone and context for the learning experience.

Gathering Feedback and Iterations
Getting feedback on this prototype was critical to designing an eLearning solution that was not only engaging but also functional and accessible. Based on the feedback:
- I refined transitions in the Vyond video to make it more seamless.
- Enhanced the accessibility of the course by ensuring the video included captions for learners with hearing impairments.
